Ok so space is running out and I need smaller speakers, I do have an amp already so bookshelf speakers could do nicely? The thing is this is on a seriously tight budget of £50?
I’ve looked around and seen a few but nothing that has wowed me…

Well if you want something to “wow” you, you usually would spend 3 times your budget to have some erm choice
How about the Denon SCN4 speakers? Not great, but solid and in your budget.
Yup no kidding, thats for the living room though
this is purely for the bedroom and with our second kid on the way I ideally need to downsize from my current, rather large speaker setup, as long as the sound is crisp and clear with a little bit of depth then I’ll be happy.
I don’t even use speakers. I use headphones only. Saves space, and nobody cares how loud I play them.
If you already got the amp may as well use it! Id say check thrift stores or other used routes for some bookshelf speakers of some sort. I got lucky and found some near field monitors for 5 dollars at a thrift/secondhand store. Beauties that get the job done.
So it may come down to a choice between these, The Denons SCN4 as Alex already pointed out, some Missions VX-1 or Dayton Audio’s B652. Tough choice between the 3 in my opinion?
