Williams, Haas and Force India struggle again

Total Ferrari win in FP3. Let’s watch the first Ferrari front row in 10 years :stuck_out_tongue:

This is how you do it. I can see the future :stuck_out_tongue:

Ferrari needed that! Needs to translate to the race too. Mercedes was starting to pull away in development so that was a big statement by the red cars.

Really hope Alonso’s car holds up and he finishes high! This is McLaren’s one chance to get out of the basement.

Impressive showing by Di Resta to not get last on short notice. Hes gonna be pressuring Stroll in the race! Haha.

Good for Ferrari, played with fire a bit there. Should’ve let Kimi by with like 20 left to build a bigger safety cushion. But it worked out in the end for Vettel and the team.

Alonso finishes and finishes 6th! Good for him and McLaren.

Once again Force India goes from looking abysmal on Friday and Saturday to a double points finish on Sunday. So weird but they keep doing it.

Tough go for Renault after the way their weekend had looked like it had some points.

Edit: And also Im surprised Mercedes bothered to swap back. I know Bottas yielded the spot but Hamilton was very very clearly the faster racer. And it was a dangerous swap back with Max flying… Which was whole other thing. Absolute shame he took out Daniel. Just trying too hard too quick.

Pretty boring race. But a nice Ferrari 1-2. It wold have been even more boring if Vettel dont have the issue with his streering wheel. In the first 20 laps, the two Ferraris had 10 sec advantage in front of Bottas. It is a shame Max had to do it again, if not Kvyat then him. I wanted to see Red Bulls in front of the Mercedes guys  Kimi is the best teammate Vettel can ever have. That patient and clear head…Anybody else would have pushed off the track the slowing Vettel. Magnussen is a dick again, Palmer is a second slower than Hülkenberg. Good Mclaren finishes, and two invisible Williams. If you think about it: They were the second force 2 years ago. And now…Sad.

Kimi on fire was good to see. I love the challenge of the circuit and it is a great course on the calendar, however it is and has never been one for overtakes. IMO it is worse than Monaco, because Monaco has a way of weeding out the weak.

Hamilton proving he has more character than Vettel by letting his teammate back through abiding to team instruction. Multi 21 anyone. Was glad to see that this occurred even with the risk of Max hot on the tail of Botas.

Alonso Fastest lap. McLaren must have one hell of a chassis. Renault making gains and it is good to see. Force India moving in the right direction. Sauber going back to being Toro Rosso and Sainz really needs a better car. This guy has talent to burn.

All in all pretty dull race due to nature of track, but I will mention again that this is great track with a fundamental flaw, which is a great pity.

Bring on Spa.

Just watched the race (Had recorded it) real good race for Ferrari, not so great for Redbull with that opening incident.Mercedes took third and fourth if I saw correct so I imagine that helps them in the points race as well. To bad Ricardo* was taken out by his teammate in the beginning. They mentioned a break, when will the next race be?
