If the servers were good in the first place, there wouldn’t be a chance to hack them. EA servers are eww and they were and will be hacked. Same goes for Blizzard.
Most of these groups are just doing DDOS attacks, not hacks. You can’t do a ton to mitigate DDOS, it is all reactive.
