If I remember correctly, yellow color is used for security measures. Each printer has its own printing pattern (with yellow dots) so the government can identify which printer did the printing. One of the main reasons for this is to prevent money printing.
That may be true, but it’s also how colours are made. It’s not RGB. That and money isn’t paper anymore, at least not in Canada. It’s plastics and polymers now.
