Just put a bid in on this

  • It’s used, but all parts guaranteed for 6 months (it’s a store demo machine).

    I7 6850K
    EVGA X99 CLASSIFIED Motherboard
    G SKILL RIPJAWS 2400 V-DDR4 16 GB RAM
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 (would swap out for my 1080 ti)
WD 3 TB NASWARE HDD (would add my ssd and WD black as well)
    CORSAIR HX1200 PSU
LINGYI gaming keyboard and mouuse (would use my Corsair kb and mouse)
SAMSUNG 24’’ monitor (not sure what model but probably just 1080p)

My current bid is $700 CDN… not sure how high I want to go though. I figure if I don’t get this I will end up spending $1800 on parts for an upgrade.

    Fixed MOBO brand in edit
Also fixed caps lock for names etc.

DDR4 existed when the gtx 700 series was a thing?

  • @gord0 The 760 actually predates DDR4 by over a year (760 in Feb 2013 and DDR4 in April 2014).

Hmm… my brain thought ddr4 was much newer. What about that mobo. Does it support all the features of your vid card?

  • @gord0 I just noticed I put the Asus mobo down… it is actually the EVGA X99 Classified (will edit original post), and yes it will work for the ti no problem, and with the 6850k’s 40 lanes it will work a lot better than my 4770k’s 16.

If all the parts are going to work, go for it.

  • @gord0 Still winning the auction (ends in 2 days when the actual in person thing takes place if I choose to go). I don’t think I will go above 1k though, I figure at that price point I might as well spend the extra $800(ish) and end up with the 7820X.

Grr edited again I put 8700K instead of the 7820X, but would really rather have the 7900X but it is double the price for around double the pcie lanes.

  • Never put a bid down, always snipe with your highest amount you are willing to bid.

  • @sir-diealot If I were to ever buy on ebay or something of that sort sure… but this is local and I’ve “won” lots of things there.

  • @ub6 Ah okay, thought it was ebay.
