lookee what just arrived.
I come home today, log in to Steam to let the updates run, and I find chat messages. In them, @MyLifeForAiur has sent me the code for a game, just out of the blue.
And it is a TellTale game, the kind that I really like!!
So many thanks to you, David, much appreciated!
Thank you to @ButtStallion for Spec Ops The Line!!!
I completely forgot to take a screenshot of the activation.
I have been super busy this week, and haven’t even been able to run steam and really play anything at all. I got home tonight, and saw I had a message, and wow, what a nice surprise!!!
This game was on my wish list, as it looks like it has a pretty good story line.
Thank you, looking forward to trying it!!
Happy Dec. 23rd! The eve of Christmas Eve!
Way back, (late 80’s) when I used to work in IT for a bank, my boss dubbed this the most wonderful day of the year.
Since we worked at a bank, we only got one extra day off for Christmas. Everyone else was closed it seemed, but since they were all out doing last minute shopping, and this was before the internet, debit cards, or online transactions, we had to work so the last minute shoppers could get their money.
So on this one day only, my boss would shut down the IT dept. from 12 to 1, and we drug out tables and plastic table cloths, and he would take orders and he would go get lunch for everyone and bring it back and we all sat around that table in the middle of IT and had a dinner. Then as long as we got our necessary stuff done, and took care of any emergencies, he would tell us to just take it easy, and actually encouraged us to play video games or whatever we wanted to do for fun the rest of the work day.
Nowadays, I am blessed to work for a small business, and I pretty much do anything I want daily, as long as I get the work done. Other big companies I have worked for have all had various Christmas lunches, but usually just an hour or so and back to work. But I have never forgot that job at the bank, and what Mr. Daniel did for us all on Christmas eve eve, and that he called it the most wonderful day of the year.
Hope all of you have a wonderful day today, whatever you are doing!
After almost a year, I tried with my new video card, and FINALLY, I get to play the Elder Scrolls Online!! I love the elder scrolls universe! Been wanting to play this game for so long!! With the old video card, the game would crash every time I played, 2-3 minutes in. I reinstalled it, and tried it and played for two hours tonight, no crashes!
@Scavenger just signed up here. He is one of my best friends in real life, and a very avid computer gamer. He is who I am gaming with a lot, if you’ve ever heard me talk about playing stuff with my local friends.
I was just on the phone with him, and telling him about this fine new place, and he signed up while we were talking.
No idea if, or how much he will post, I just wanted to vouch for him, and let you all know he is legit, since you probably wouldn’t recognize the name.
The shifty one, @ShiftySatchmo surprised me tonight with a gift! And this time I even remembered to take a screenshot of it!
I had seen this in one of the exploration things, and thought it looked interesting and the graphics on it looked really nice.
Thank you Andrew, very much appreciated! I feel humbled, you guys don’t need to get me things, I would be just as happy with a chili dog!
Some of you may remember that my dad passed away back at the end of April.
My mom has told me that I can have his truck, if I just pay my sister half of what it is worth. I think this is an awesome deal. Daddy was always meticulous with his vehicles before he was no longer able to care for them. So I get a great truck, that I know the history of, and it has sentimental value to me. Even though I’ve already been driving it due to the fact that my Jeep doesn’t have heat OR air working, I took it over to mom’s this morning, and she and I officially cleaned dad’s stuff out of it, and detailed it.
Hey, just wanted to alert you guys that I may switch my steam display name to Pkatt for a while, instead of Polekatt. Its still meeeeee!
Do like me, and put your own nicknames beside your friends, so you remember who they are when they change those display names.
But, main reasoning is, I’m really getting into playing Conan Exiles on an RP server. Like Black Desert, and some other games, they insist on having your steam or account name under your character names. Its quite alright in a FPS setting, or non RP. But in RP, it irks me, because the word Polekatt under my character name just looks funny unless I’m playing a character that would fit with. (which in this case, I am not) At least with Pkatt, I can pull that off as almost like a surname, or people don’t associate the meaning with anything automatically.
just letting you know!
