So this is my next game. Been playing since yesterday. It’s the only good pirate game I’ve played besides AC Black Flag and AC Rogue. It’s a completely different vibe than an AC game, it really screams early 360/ps3 days art style and gameplay. It’s 3rd person but with fixed camera angles for some reason. I have no idea why it’s a fixed camera, there’s no noticeable reason. But it is, so get used to dodging with the camera stick. It goes back and forth between ship missions and ground missions. The ship missions are just like ground missions except you’re on your ship running from cannon to cannon firing at the enemy ships and also melee fighting with enemies boarding your ship.
Currently running at max settings at 2160p120 (HDR on). It normally exceeded 144 with tearing, the game only had framerate limit options of 30, 60, 90, and 120, so I locked it to 120. Pretty fun so far, I had to pirate it because poor, so buy it if you decide to play it. Will post more later!
I beat this last night, pretty solid game! I could have gone for a few more hours of gameplay though. Recommended!
This game was announced over twenty years ago and has been abandoned for a long time. That is why everything about it smells of 360/PS3 days. In essence, this is a 2005 game released in 2025.
Well it plays like that was the intended vibe. It doesn’t hurt anything other than looking old.
