Config Changes

  • Upgraded to NodeBB 1.7.2
    • Added topic merging for ShiftySatchmo

Category Changes

  • Created a non-postable section divider for “Steals and Deals”
    • Made the following changes:
      Steals and Deals -> Giveaways
      Steals and Deals -> Deals
    • The Giveaways section will be for any kind of giveaway (personal or company sponsored)
    • Deals is going to be for any kind of sale or other type of deal (games, hardware, etc)
  • Removed the unused “Gaming Events” section
    • No one posts here anyway, I moved the posts to other applicable categories

Config Changes

  • Had to make some changes to the emoji due to a future deprecation of the emoji plugin
    • This resulted in me having to restart the service a few times
    • I’d also say the new emoji are uglier and harder to use in the emoji box, I have a few threads with the developers to see why it blows so much now :pile_of_poo:
  • I also made a change to avatar’s (not existing ones)
    • Anyone that hasn’t uploaded an avatar gets an adorable random monster, you’re welcome
    • I can change this if you REALLY hate it, here are the options:
