Budget only bothers the big names since the low tiers aren’t anywhere near it. But still was needed. I bet smaller teams spending will actually go up given there’s a “target” of sorts. I bet they get more sponsors. The big boys will complain mightily though. Especially Ferrari.
As for the car, I’ll believe it when I see it. Every sane person wants closer racing, but I’ll need to see it before I believe it.
Main one I don’t like is the condensed weekend. I don’t watch every practice or anything but I like reading all the articles and watching the press conferences in the days beforehand. Builds excitement for the race IMO.
Then the renders aren’t the prettiest things ever, but we’ll see how the actual cars look in a couple years.

Gone away for the weekend and will catch up with 2021 car. Hope it doesn’t get steam rolled by big boys & allows for more than 3 big teams. I wonder if the FIFA idea of everyone gets equal dividend will work as an idea for FIA. Not that it will ever be allowed.

FIA scrutiny requested and Ferrari not as fast in a straight line this weekend. Smoke, fire and that is how the other teams will see this performance.
They just used more downforce it was clear when they did an almost similar first sector with Merc and RB. But that race pace was just nowhere, +50 sec behind the winner Bottas.
Congrats to Hamilton to his 6th, 2021 can’t come soon enough.
Another news, Hulk is officially out of F1, sad day but Giovinazzi deserved that seat imo.

Big shame for Hulk. But Ferrari has to try to develop the Italian without a doubt, he has potential.
Real pity for Hulk. I don’t have the faith they have Gio. Second rate driver IMO, second to 3rd tier of his generation.
Some one was bound to say it out loud.

I’m in America where most people think Indy and F1 are the same thing and don’t watch either! haha. So same thing for me too.

There is a real possibility of losing two teams in my opinion.
Already too few teams. That would be awful.
Yes Alfa is thinking about as well. but there is no better time to leave than 2021 as well as enter the game. Honda could launch a factory team or something, the cost cap should invite more new teams.

Problem with entering in 2021 with the cost cap is the fact the your building a must be in place, because new facilities and gear is included in the cost cap. That is Racing Point is upgrading facilities quickly. New teams may be further disadvantage to setup a competitive team. 3 big teams have massive amounts of facilities and staff comparatively & their wages are not included in the cost cap.
