Unreal heartbreak.

I was ready to post about a star being born and boom. A star was still born, but the true party is delayed. Vettel seems to have lost touch, self sabotage yet again. But man was that a great few moments between him and Lewis. Somebody hit the kill button on Renault, that was bizarre timing for seemingly two entirely different issues. Lando Norris is for real it seems. Gasly finds some points at least but it’s getting embarrassing how far off he is from Max so far. It’s like they aren’t even in the same car. I expected a lot more from Pierre. Giovinazzi not having a great go of it so far either. Season is plenty, plenty young though.

Two spectacular races so far. I’m having fun. The overtaking today is encouraging. China can’t come quick enough.

I will say it again. Vettel is only good when he has best car and no competition. Runs out of talent when he needs it Most, just one of those people in the right place at the right time. Unpopular opinion because he has an amazing skill set, but not 4 times world champion good. Riccy put pay to him and now Le Clerc. Expect a retirement soon. Not a fan of Ferrari, but heart break for Le Clerc, amazing drive.

Max yet again proves he will ruin anyone’s race because of small minded ambition, McLaren was set for an amazing race, destroyed.

Gazly’s will be looking for a new drive next year, based on Red Bull’s employment trends. Two races is enough for them to decide a drivers future.

All in All, those Ferrari’s look dangerous this year, and the Mercs look like reliability may be the only key they have to victory.

Good race again, only ruined by Le Clerc’ s misfortune… ala Bottas at Baku last year.

My BL GT 'd friend. You seem incredibly happy with F1 at present or is it the announcement of another BL?

Happy with F1 at least  Two great races in a row, already looking better than a 2016 or 2017 season.

Are you ready for the 1000th F1 race? Free Practice 2 is now underway

Watching Quali. So Gasly seals his retirement from RB and Albon will not return either. RB deserves this after treating Kyvat and Hartley like they did.

So any predictions, hopes for tomorrow’s race? Tyre management is the key in China, the top five starting on mediums are guaranteed 1 stoppers and have a huge advantage over the rest.

Honestly with Gasly at this point I have to believe RB is just giving all the extra bits and pieces to Max. I was very impressed with Gasly’s abilities last year, I just don’t buy it that he is this far off the pace three weeks in a row. I have to believe he just flat out doesn’t have the same car. But if it IS all on him? Yikes!

I would never place money on Ferrari getting strategy right, but I think they still have the car for the race. Vettel > Leclerc > Bottas is my 1,2,3.

Don’t know Mercs look quick and I think because their tyres take longer to switch on, may be an advantage. Either way we are in a good place as viewers again. Then Max is lurking again.
Bottas - Ham - Leclerc.

Does anyone else think Max is not liked by the other drivers… hahaha. He takes people out and doesn’t give it a second thought and then complains in quali when the other drivers don’t care. Hahaha. Thought it was funny.

Merc second pit stop… sublime.

Well, my guaranteed one stop busted. Looks like the Pirelli finally made a good tyre because last year 95% of the time the one stop worked better. Good to see more strategies. Very easy Mercedes 1-2, Ric’s first points, Perez’s good start, Kimi’s constant pace and points, Albon’s recovery, Haas race pace faded away again and McLaren bad luck. The 1000th race didn’t disappoint.

Slightly not the spectacle expected, but fun to watch. You right though about the crap luck for McLaren. Leclerc hung out to dry, but once again I understand the logic.

Double pitstop in 6.2 seconds. WTF? :astonished:

So much for wishful thinking. Not only do we got another Merc season, but a perfect one thus far. That hole is DEEP already. We were a bit spoiled race 1 and 2 so I can’t whine about this race being a little less eventful.

True about the expectations set.
