Looks like IEEE approved a change to the spec for Cat 5e and Cat 6 that allows for faster speeds over those cables. I love when we can make changes to existing cabling instead of needing to make everything new. I assume new network cards and routers would be needed though…

My shit internet is only 2mbps so I don’t think this will affect me at all but its always nice to see progress like this.
