Finished the war stories (campaign) in Battlefield 5. It’s fantastic. The game is very well made. These mini stories are short but I enjoyed em quite a lot. Music is so good, visuals are absolutely top notch and the gameplay is fast and it has that oomph that I like. Also, my speakers support all light RGB thing so whenever there’s an explosion in front of my ass, it glows and it looks cool. Also, every time there’s an explosion, my apartment kinda shakes. It’s like I’m watching a WW2 movie in a cinema. So good. Much wow. Porn.
Now if they could only add more content to multiplayer, that would be nice.
It’s funny because I’ve read all the reviews and I know what to expect, but I still want to play it. Riding a motorcycle over zombies in Pac Northwest. I think it is the setting that keeps me interested most. Reminds me of Alan Wake
Finished Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. Amaaaazing game. I got only one of the endings, the rest I watched it on youtube. The reason for watching it on youtube is simply because the game is gigantic. There is at least 200 hours of content just from the main game. I don’t have the time to replay everything to get all the endings.
Anyway, the game is beautiful visually. Music is pretty good too. Voice acting top notch. I can see why people call this game as the second Witcher 3. It deserved all the awards it got.
Finished Vampyr. Good game but nothing mindblowing. Extremely depressing and difficult storyline. Which is something that I like. It painted the world of disease, darkness and vampires very well. Visually, the game is pretty but not on the AC: Odyssey level of pretty.
It’s clear that the devs tried to make the game look and feel a bit Bloodborney. I think they failed it a bit. Movement is pretty much the same as in Bloodborne. Fast paced, with quick and heavy attacks with parry. But it lacks depth. There are 3 weapons in the game that you can upgrade to higher level. All 3 weapons are boring as hell and the upgrades are even more boring. The powers that you posses as a vampire are cool but I wish there’s more variety to the powers. They all feel the same to me. Loot that you get by killing enemies is terrible. Sometimes it’s so terrible, the game forces you to grind through an area so you can obtain an item that will level up your weapon. That’s the reason why I kept using only one weapon and that’s the mace. It has a high base damage and I was basically deleting enemies down without any problems even on the first upgrade level. I also played on the highest difficulty.
Now the story is something different. And I feel it might not be for everyone. It’s very…poetic. It’s like they used the entire dialogue from a book and slapped it in the game. I liked it. It has its twists and it’s dark enough for it to be interesting.
If you plan on buying the game, please buy it on sale as it doesn’t have much content for 50 euros. Get it through XBOX game pass or 50% off.
I’ll give Vampyr a 7/10. Recommended for those who are into vampires and detective games.
Finished Catherine Classic. Fuck the level designer. But seriously, go to hell, dude.
This game is literally harder than every souls game combined, ninja gaiden and life. I’m gonna explain you why.
Catherine is a game made by ATLUS. Same dudes that made the Persona games. Catherine is a puzzle game where you have to move up boxes to climb to the top. Sounds easy? Well, it fucking isn’t. Because they decided to hire a level designer that has a brain the size of a planet. Whoever the level designer is, he’s like 3 million IQ strong. The game has 9 stages with each stage having 3-4 sub-stages. Stage 1-6, were pretty much easy to deal with, stage 7 and 8 are a damn nightmare. I had to use the guide to solve the 7 and 8 puzzles. And even with the guide, I was struggling to solve the damn thing. Luckily, stage 9 was a joke so I was able to finish that fast.
Yeah, the puzzles hard but gotta say, I loved every moment of solving them. Sure, I died like 300 billion times but every time I solved a stage, I felt some kind of success and the main character felt like that as well so yeah, good storytelling, ATLUS.
Story is pretty good too. It’s a romantic horror mystery thing thing. Bunch of plot twists and I loved it.
Do I recommend Catherine Classic? Damn right I do. But it’s not for everyone. If you want to use your brain at full capacity, then go buy the game and torture that brain of yours. It’s worth it.
Also there is a second Catherine game coming out this year (September, I believe) called Full Body. Pretty sure I’m gonna grab it somewhere next year.
Finished Gears of War. I played this game a bit when it came out 250 years ago but never finished it. I’m glad xbox game pass exist. Pretty cool game. You basically shoot things for 7 hours and sometimes you have a cutscene or two and boom, story done. The game is linear as hell and that’s exactly how I wanted it to be. I can see why the games are popular. They are fun! Definitely gonna finish the rest of the games.
Finished Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption. Cool little game. It’s basically Dark Souls without the bullshit between boss fights. You straight up absorb some soul stones and go against bosses. Bosses are kinda difficult and there are 7 of em. There was one bitch that looked like Vicar Amelia and she was straight bullshit to fight against. BUTT, I deleted her huehue.
Anyway, if you want to play Dark Souls for 4 hours without thinking about items, RPG elements and whatever Dark Souls has, play Sinner. It’s currently on xbox game pass for PC.
