So I started this game on Saturday and finished it just now. It’s the same game but instead of still frames and fmv, it’s first person and fully modeled, and animated.
Running at max settings, max rtx, dlss set to quality, HDR on, at 2160p>60 (usually >100). It’s really beautiful now!
Early in the game I got stuck on something and then realized I had already wrote my own players guide when I was 15 in the summer of '99. I bought the special box edition of both Myst and Riven. It came with one of the Myst novels and a blank journal. I wrote a guide to both Myst and Riven in it.
It’s an odd sensation as a 37 year old reading your own words from your 15 year old self.
I really hope they give Riven the same treatment. I say recommended, but I’m not sure if I would like the game if this were my first time playing.
