Nights of Azure

This is my next game! From what I can tell it’s a ps3 and/or vita port. Think Japanese Devil May Cry. Oh also it’s Katsuo compatible because there is only Japanese audio! Runs at a solid 60fps at 1080p in crossfire (can’t go higher than 1080p or it breaks the game due to being a lazy port). The only graphics options are res and aa, which are both maxed. Be sure to config your controller in the settings on the launcher or half the buttons won’t be bound…lazy port. Don’t worry, all the xbox button pics are beside the bindings so you know which button to bind. Alt-f4 to quit game…lazy port. Will post more when I beat it!

Wishlisted!
Also, check who the developer is
KOEI never knew how to make a perfect port haha

Well performance-wise it works fine, it’s just the user interface and pc video options that they derped out on.

gord0 That’s why I said “a perfect port”. There has to be always something that they’ll fuck up in one way or another. But at least they are bringing the games on PC, which is a great thing no matter what the port looks like. \o/

It seems it’s a 1:1 port of a former PS4 exclusive. So nothing new but glitches. No framerate issue for me, but now and again I get random geometry wonkyness. Since there’s nothing new added to the game, you should get it for ps4 if you find a better price than steam.

Another odd thing is that it looks like early ps3 quality, I would be quite annoyed if I were a console-only gamer.

I’ve watched a bit of gameplay on youtube and it doesn’t feel like a 60 bucks game. Yeah, it’s 60 bucks on EU PS store. So, if I have some money left, I’ll buy the game on Steam when it’s on sale.
Right now, I think the new Star Ocean and Dragon Quest look a bit better than Nights of Azure and they are technically the same price.

32.99 CDN$ on steam

Always tempting me with new games aren’t you?!

Did some more digging. Never was bps4 exclusive. It was sony exclusive up until this pc port. It’s on ps3/vita/ps4/pc.

So I just beat it! There’s apparently a bit more to unlock, but I can’t be assed. The game is quite good, but the grand total of zero fucks the devs give about the pc ver can get annoying. About the time I was about to say fuck it, was around the same time I got hooked on the story. The main glitch that drove me up the wall was when one of the npcs’ geometry would derp right out and block huge sections of your camera view. To get rid of it you ether needed to kill it (if it’s an enemy) or leave and return to the area. You can definitely tell it’s an older game based on the mechanics it has in contrast to the rest of the games in the same genre…well that and the early ps3/360 style of graphics and level design.

All said and done, I’d say it’s worth the money up to the first ending…unless you’re Katsuo, I can see you playing the last extra bit lol
