We’ve updated the Steam Subscriber Agreement. The updates affect your legal rights. They include changes to how disputes and claims between you and Valve are resolved. The updated dispute resolution provisions are in Section 10 and require all claims and disputes to proceed in court and not in arbitration. We’ve also removed the class action waiver and cost and fee-shifting provisions. Please carefully review the updated Steam Subscriber Agreement here.

If I remember correctly, you don’t own the games you purchased on Steam. Steam can close your account and you will lose access to all the games. I think GOG is the only platform where you own the games you purchased.
^^ and if you have discs. Most of the games for playstation that are printed on discs, contain the full game. You can play them offline whenever you want.
I have about 300 discs on my shelf. Every single game can be played from start to finish without any issues. If you are talking about modern games, then you might be right. Modern games are ass anyways.
