So this is my next game! It’s a standalone dlc for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Pretty much the same mechanics but a separate story. I don’t recommend playing it without playing the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 main game. Even if it is standalone, you won’t enjoy it very much without playing the main game first. Will post more later.

True, being married/a parent and having a massive backlog go together like PB&J. Most of my playtime comes at night after my daughter goes to bed, meaning way less time to play than the good old days… well at least games I can’t play with her around. Good for you plowing through.
I’m curious what type of backlog you have if any @gord0 because you have a good pace going.

Solid list, but looks like these are all ones you don’t own yet. Do you have a backlog of games you do own you haven’t gotten to yet?
Beat a game, buy a game. If broken/shit/not worth beating, return. All my games are beaten with the exception of garbage purchased before the return policy existed. Those titles may as well not be in my library, I’ll never touch them.

That’s a great place to be and where I’d like to get to. Purged a lot of junk off of steam I will never play, but need to get through a lot to be in a place like you are. One of my other problems is that I like replaying games, precluding me from beating new ones.
I do replay occasionally, but not often. Last I remember was a bioshock marathon.
I figure, why sweat it? If you already have a ton of games there’s nothing you can do but play what you want when you can. I gave up on letting a backlog of games I own prevent me from playing new games I want to play. It’s my money I do what I want *snap snap snap
Anyway, back on topic. I want to play Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the DLC someday. They look really good.
Yeah it doesn’t bother me a ton as much as the desire to play certain games and not being able to for one reason or another. Would be cool to be disciplined enough to not buy games until I’m ready to play them though. Would save me a lot of money too as things drop in price yada yada

The fact I have the google doc I pasted is proof the discipline is easy. I’m not exactly some prodigy or something. Coming to the realization that all modern games are broken at launch helps too.
The way I see it, if you faf about between multiple games, you forget story and controls. Ultimately ruining the experience of games when you return to them. I just follow the bubble effect of my list.

No, no I totally get and agree with what you do. I’m saying I have like 200 games for PC I already bought (or was gifted) that I haven’t played but if a new game comes out that I want to play more at that moment I’ll just shrug and buy it to play now.
