I am at the point where I am beginning to think we won’t get a race this year.
According to austrian sources it is almost 100% the 2020 season starts with a double weekend at July 5th and 12th on the Red Bull Ring. Only an even more massive second wave of the coronavirus can ruin that plan.
SO A BORING TRACK
Found this video because I was wondering if a steering wheel should feel like a gym workout.
Guy explains it in my kinda speak. Having said that my back and neck mussels have never been this strong
Haha. Long sessions at the wheel can really add up. Especially with the centering strength. Who needs to do pull-ups when you can just drive pretend cars around!
BREAKING NEWS - The season has a start date
“Although this morning it was announced that the French Grand Prix, due to take place in late June, will not be going ahead, we are now increasingly confident with the progress of our plans to begin our season this summer. We’re targeting a start to racing in Europe through July, August and beginning of September, with the first race taking place in Austria on 3-5 July weekend. September, October and November, would see us race in Eurasia, Asia and the Americas, finishing the season in the Gulf in December with Bahrain before the traditional finale in Abu Dhabi, having completed between 15-18 races. We will publish our finalised calendar as soon as we possibly can.”
By the sounds of it, at least we will get Spa and Suzuka. Yay
Seen something on Merc and Toto and their shares in Aston Martin. If they get the “Merc B team” via Racing point/Aston Martin. You know Toto kicking Perez hard to the curb to avenge Ocon. Personally I will feel it is deserved. Thoughts?
I like Perez well enough. He saved the team to begin with after the Force India debacle. Daddy Stroll’s big bucks were needed though and that’s where Ocon lost his seat. Would be pretty empty ‘revenge’ in my opinion. Maybe I don’t know enough of the details. Either way, Ocon found a seat already and that cost us Hulk. So I’d only consider it a net positive if Hulk gets a seat out of it.
As far as my F12019 career is going… I’ve been sidelined with a sore back! Haha. Too much yard work. Wheel has been collecting some dust for a couple weeks. But I’ll be crashing into the rails at Monaco soon enough.
Toto knows Perez is a great driver, it would be a mistake. I liked Hülk a lot but still think Perez is a bit better. Yes he is agressive, just as Max and he earned his seat. When this much money is at stake, there is no place for petty personal feelings and revenge. Of course if he can find another great driver as Perez who knows but it wont be because of Ocon.
I bring some interesting articles and news. Will Buxton built the ultimate track, the Hungaroring race is pretty much cancelled and we can finally see the finished Zandvoort track in the F1 2020 game (but i cant see a single point on track where i could try an overtake)
Only hope for Zandvoort is 6 DNFs and safety car mix ups. Looks fun to play in the game though. Banked corners will just feel cool.
Yes it looks fun to drive around but hard to overtake, dirty air will be massive in all those corners. Maybe it will be better with the new aero regulations.
I can confirm practice is key, i didnt play F1 for 2 weeks, i was all over the place, 5-6 tenths slower than usual, even my teammate beat me. I need a couple of races to pick up the pace and concentration.
Don’t forget Toto manages Ocon. Perez can drive, but he has shown he is willing to put his own teammate in a wall and cost the team huge money by doing so. Won’t admit he is wrong either. He doesn’t deserve a seat and only money has kept him in F1 for so long. McLaren got rid of him for a reason. Won’t be empty to Toto and Ocon. As Fernando said… Kharma.
Amazing race, simpler aero, close battles, changing conditions, it was a blast
“only money” keeping seats applies to just about everybody on the grid these days. But I still hear you. Makes for some interesting off the track drama at least.
I want one.
