I cant see it to be honest, George Russell and Ocon in wings. Why would they take Vettel. He seems to need such cuddling and Ham won’t put up with Vettel’s inner bastard, like not swapping back. Vettel won’t like it when Ham says … Stuff him. Guarantee it won’t end well for Vettel.

That DRS zone alone will be ‘enough’ for modern F1 cars to pass more than most circuits. That said, I don’t see anywhere else that matters for a pass besides turn 1 through 5. The last section looks fun but its flowing. Time will tell if they ever get out on the track this season.

Williams disappearing would be the death of classical F1 to me. They are the last privateer and to me the team represents the mainstay and the origins of the sports popularity. Brabham, Tyrell, McLaren, Enzo… the list goes on. Don’t get me wrong Renault, Lotus, the manufacturers, could not be a sport without them. Without privateers passion in 70,80s, what would it be… Golden age of F1 would be gone and a distant memory. My bleeding heart sinks again.
P.S. think back to the 90, 00s. Prost, Jordan, Stuart… how pleased were fans when they took those legendary podiums. At that time they stood out more then anything else. Damon’s Tyrell giving up the ghost at Hungary… pure passion from fans, drivers and media.

Yes it is heartbreaking what’s happening with Williams, the only true privateer team in the sport. I watched several documentaries about Williams and it is amazing how much tech they do for themselves. I read they got around 25 million loan to try to survive until they find a bigger investor or buyer.

Cost cap or not, still not a cheap hobby. Interesting becausee I expected new teams to appear after cost cap and the new simpler aero rules.
