Another thing to try, is the new firefox they have available. I have not had any issues with youtube or Netflix with it. The older FF I was running into those issues, also, if updating, make sure to either do a clean install of the drivers or use DDU to remove the old driver before installing the new. Ran into several issues not clean installing the updates. Was fine after.
Tried a fresh install of Windows, different browsers, even the Netflix app.
When did you try firefox? Before or after Quantum?
teh_g I had the similar problem as you. Couldn’t watch videos in full screen without a stuttering, games would stutter all time. I haven’t find solution online but through testing I found out that the culprit was Asus GPU Tweak 2.
One of the resolved issues is: “Netflix playback in a browser or via UWP application may experience stutter.”
BOY WAS I EXCITED
Sadly it still occurs. I did reach out to AMD, and the 17.10.1 drivers do not have the issue. So I am running those for now.
Take a peek at all the release notes of the drivers between 17.10.1 and current. If none of the game(s) you’re currently playing are mentioned, you should be just fine. Normally I only update to official releases and only update to a beta if the beta has improvements for the game I’m currently playing.
In addition to the netflix fix, there’s also fixes/optimizations for Ark Survival Evolved and Star Wars Gamblefront II. As well as a few other bits and bobs. See release notes ^
