Resident Evil 7

Starting to happen to me in RE2 unfortunately. I blame the environment I’m in. The police station was way scarier than the well lit sewer areas I’m currently playing through

So you are saying that I shouldn’t play RE2. Very nice.

No I’m saying the pure fear factor isn’t as prominent at this point as it was in the first half of the game. That said, that’ll change soon as I am about to get a key I need to use in the Police Station again.

It’s down to 39.99 $cad

So I finished this game! Gotta say, it’s absolutely fantastic. Not really scary too. I think I just got too old to be scared of things so yeah. I’m starting to be a huge fan of Resident Evil games. Played 2, 4 and 7 so far and I liked all 3 of em. The only complaint I have about RE7 is the difficulty. It’s ridiculously easy. I think I used the med kits like once or twice through the entire game. Boss fights are way too slow. But then again, who cares, everything else is top notch. The engine is also the best. I’m running this game on 1080p with over 190fps, all maxed out.

Highly recommended! It’s 14.99 euros now so it’s definitely worth the money.

Thank you, @ShiftySatchmo for the game. Looks like you are buying RE games for me from now on hihihihiihihihihihihi

Play the RE1 remake on game pass. I’m curious to see if you like the old style.

He thinks it’s on game pass :’)

You said it was!

I am allowed to lie sometimes

Not to me :crying_cat_face:

What is love? Baby don’t hurt me…

I wish this game wasn’t a VR exclusive on Playstation. I just don’t want to play it for that reason.

Last I checked it wasn’t a vr game…or if it is, it isn’t the same as the actual game.

You can play it without VR on Playstation. There is even a demo which you can try out to convince yourself that the game is playable without the VR headset.

It had some good jump scares and atmosphere in the early on sections! Also was there a higher difficulty you could set it to? A lot of times the difficulty and scariness go hand in hand. Dying easy with limited ways to heal vs nothing hurting much and a ton of med kits probably changes your experience to be more scary. I know when I beat RE 2 on hard, the lurkers were a lot scarier to me because in two swipes I’d die no matter what, so when ammo was low or nill and I had to run around and dodge them and they’d leap and ever so slightly miss my head, it was intense. It wouldn’t have mattered as much if I could take 5 or 6 of those…

It does have difficulty modes, like the easy mode he played it on.

I think he means he wishes he could play the VR version on PC and doesn’t want to play it without VR.

Yes, This exactly. I know I could play it not in VR, but the fact I can’t play it in VR on PC is lame. So I won’t play it at all.

I would still play it on pc in non-vr. A lot of Sony exclusive stuff seems to be releasing on pc recently. You’ll likely get to play it in proper vr eventually.

Agreed, the game on PC as non VR was still surprisingly really good
