The further into the game I get the more confused I get with the story. Soon I’ll be wondering around aimlessly. Aiding other players as a maidenless tarnished.

Did some people start playing it not knowing what it was?

Edit: beat to the punch by @Gorkie ! haha

I’ve dropped elden ring for some reason. Playing Horizon forbidden snoozefest now and it’s one of the most boring games I’ve ever played. Why did I stop playing elden ring, again?

Because you are a maidenless tarnished?

Game is still fun. Not sure what happened though I got too powerful or something and am just rolling through bosses. The capital seemed like it was meant to be difficult, and it was very cool, but it was easy. Onto the mountains I guess.

I for sure over levelled. Morgott at the beginning of the game was a hard boss, then the next hard fight I ran into was the Lord of Blood, who I still can’t kill.

Did you get the blood thing to mix into the flask? if not look up Elionora’s Polearm quest line she drops it along with the polearm.

I finally got around to beating him. It just took a few days of dying over and over again. Though some resistance to blood loss for sure would have helped.

I mean, if you avoided dying, you would’ve beaten him way sooner. Have you tried not dying?

Hmm. Sounds like an interesting strategy, Perhaps I’ll try it. Dying does usually lead to having to start the boss all over again.

I finally beat it, such a great game. I’m considering starting over with a new character.

Ain’t nobody got time for that! I beat the fire giant and got to the weird tornado zone last night. Am I almost done?

Killed Godrick in first try also Margit. EZ xD
kinda cleared all the early areas. Limgrave, weeping penisula, stormveil i dont wanna progress story i just wanna roam more and wanna do more side stuff. Which way should i go?

The game wants you to go to Lunaria of Lakes (northwest). You could go east to Caelid and Dragonbarrow instead (more difficult). Those are your only options. You should be able to find an elevator in the Mistwood area that takes you underground to Siofra River if you haven’t done that yet. If you haven’t, maybe you didn’t explore the early areas as much as you thought!

Anywhere you go is going to give you a ton to do and explore, and eventually will also progress story.
